PATIENCE OF JOB
TEXT: JAMES 5:11
BIBLE TEXT:
“Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy” (James 5:11).
Robert Schuller made a profound and timely statement when he admonished,”Never cut a tree down in the winter time. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass.” Many youths rush to take many odd decisions which they later regret. Job was patient with God and the people around him during his trials. Be patient when your unbelieving parents, friends, teachers, and others persecute you. Thomas Edison was reported to have faced academic challenges as a child but with the help of his lovely and understanding mother, he pulled through and became the famous inventor of the electric bulb. What challenges are confronting you? With patience and faith in the power of the Almighty God, you can overcome. Are you sick like Job? Lay claim to the healing promises in the scriptures. Do you face academic problems? Are you confronted with poverty in your family? Work diligently and pray in faith and you can record an amazing feat. With our God, all things are possible.

Challenge: Be patient
Prayer: Lord, grant me grace to wait on you.
Quote: With our God, all things are possible.
