STAND NOW FOR SOMETHING-1
TEXT: 1 KINGS 18:21
BIBLE TEXT:
“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word” (1 Kings 18:21).
One of the greatest needs in our world today, is God’s people stepping forward to stand for Him and His Word. Indecision leads to instability in life. You may feel alone at work or school like Elijah felt, but just take a stance for the Lord. Taking a stance involves decision making. It was Albert Hubbard who stated that, “It does not take much strength to do things, but it requires great strength to decide on what to do.” At times we have a host of choices presented to us, not making a decision about them for example, our career, education, relationships and church work, we end up doing nothing. Occasionally, we do not make decisions because of fear of making wrong ones. There comes a time in every person’s life when he/she must stand for something. It is dangerous to hang in between two opinions. If Jesus is the only Saviour, let us cleave to Him alone; if the Bible be the Word of God, then accept it wholly. Stand on your godly convictions against the forces of evil.

Challenge: Indecision is a stressful state of mind.
Prayer: Help me oh God, to stand for the things Christ stood for.
Quote: Stand on your Christian convictions.
