Matthew 6:6 (NIV)

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

It’s interesting that Jesus tells us how NOT to pray before He teaches us about prayer. Prayer was not created as a public sign of holiness. If anything, prayer is labor that no one sees. But there is great reward in the secret place. What is that reward? Take time to seek God in private and find out!
