Joel Osteen Today's Word: Tested by Fire

Joel Osteen Today's Word: Tested by Fire.

Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 1:7, ESV - that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Today’s Word: God destined Joseph to become a ruler in Egypt so he could help his family and the world in a time of widespread famine. That was the end. It was established. Joseph started off well, but his story took several unusually dark twists--from being sold into slavery to being put in prison for something he hadn't done. He could have thought, God gave me a dream, but it sure didn't work out. But Joseph knew his end had been set, so he just kept being his best. If Joseph were here today, he would say, "Don't get discouraged by life's detours and twists.

God knows how to weave it all together, and in the end, you''ll come out fulfilling your purpose, seeing what He promised." This is the real test of faith. Will you keep a good attitude when you're doing the right thing but the wrong thing is happening, knowing that your end is established?

Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You that You are the Most High God and that You have a way of making all the detours and dark twists in my life to finally work to my advantage. Thank You that every test of my faith is preparing me to go higher and increase me. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
