Joel Osteen Today's Word: Come

Joel Osteen  Today's Word: Come

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 11:28, NIV - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Today’s Word: As we fight the good fight of faith daily, we all face weariness. When the battle is taking longer than expected, when we're working hard but not seeing increase, weariness will come. If the enemy can't take you out all at once, his next strategy is to wear you down. You may be suffering from battle fatigue. You've been standing a long time, trying to break an addiction or believing for a promotion, but it hasn't happened yet. Now you're tired. God wants to breathe new life into your dreams. Jesus said to come to Him when you are weary and burdened, and He will give you rest. You don't have to do it on your own. Renewing your strength starts in your mind when you wait upon the Lord (Isa. 40:31). The word wait is defined as looking for God's goodness, expecting His favor, longing for His blessing. When you live with this expectancy that God is working in your life, He will restore your strength so you can soar like an eagle.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for Your promise that I can wait upon You to renew my strength and enable me to rise up with wings above the weariness that tries to wear me down. Help me to come to You daily and have this expectancy that You are working in my life. In Jesus Name, Amen.
